My Fuzzy and Warm Friends
This is my final for the "Warm and Fuzzy" Blog and I call it "Fuzzy Friends". It took awhile to settle on my subject, but my dogs were a perfect fit. These two, Dulciana and Nessie, I consider my "Best K9 Friends Forever." They were/are always ready for a warm cuddle and of course they are furry. I knew I wanted to have there picture under the bubble so I took images of them, and worked them in PhotoShop till they fit together and were sized right. I also wanted to color the brass cuff, I had to scuff it up for the paint to stick(and I watched a lot of bsueboutiques's Channel, I just dabbed on a green pearl acrylic paint and liked it, it reminded my of grass. After much "hemming-and hawing" and testing on the inside of the cuff I painted the bezel red/black and spots of yellow. I also wanted to put "fur" under the backside of the cuff, so I got a piece large enough to "test" with. I ended up using a brown art marker to color the white fur. I had a hard time getting the fur on the back of the cuff so I smeared the back in E-6000 to give it firmness yet stay flexible. I then added "paw" prints, that I found in scrap booking supplies, walking across the cuff.
I used; fake fur, art marker, acrylic paint, stick-on paw prints and the cuff kit form Bsueboutiques. This was a big stretch for my creativity and I am happy with the out come.

Can't make up my mind.
OK, I'm working on this jewelery project for "Warm and Fuzzy" with Hilary Carrow Frye and I can't make up my mind. Do I go old school with one theme or do I mix them up. Humm...

First Day as a Blogger
Hello,
This is my first blog. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'll just have to "Wing It." As I sit here staring at my blog box I ask myself, "What have I gotten myself into?" And my mind has so many thoughts running around in it I really can't pick just one, So here's a few to start with; I am a creative sole that can't decide what medium to work in so I find myself hopping from one to the other. "What mediums might you ask?" Well the currant one is jewelry making; Steampunk, Urban Chic, Dime Store, Silver or any other style name that's "Vogue" right now. Next is photography, I started way back and I mean way back in high school. My favorite subjects are my five kids and the 10 grand-kids they have blessed me with. Another one is floral design, I also started this one back in high school. Gardening and Theater, yet another high school one. That's about it - oh I have a BA in Graphic Design (with two minors in Theater Art and Communication Arts) that have cobwebs on it, but as you can see I still use it daily.
One of the results I'd like to see out of this is to have a place to show my jewelry and other creative pursuits. So I'll shall see what unfolds.
I think that's it for now, I'll have to ponder more on this.
